To request a Kauai County arrest record, complete the Records Request for Non-Businesses form online or in person. You need a valid photo ID, a clear description of the records, date range, incident location if known, and the names of involved parties. The department may charge a fee. An appointment is set once the record is ready.

The Kapaa station covers Kapaa, Wailua, Anahola, Kealia, and parts of Lihue. Waimea covers Waimea town, Kekaha, Polihale, Kokee, and parts of Hanapepe. Hanapepe handles Hanapepe, Eleele, Port Allen, Koloa, Poipu, Lawai, and Kalaheo.
Arrests from each side get processed at the local station and then transported to Kauai Community Correctional Center in Lihue. Booking logs for each area feed into the same county system.
KCCC for Kauai Recent Arrests

Fifth Circuit Court for Kauai County Arrests
The Fifth Circuit Court serves Kauai County at 3970 Ka'ana Street, Lihue, HI 96766. Phone is (808) 482-2347. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
The Fifth Circuit handles the full range of cases for the Garden Island. Circuit Court takes felonies and civil over $40,000. District Court takes misdemeanors, traffic, and civil under $40,000. Family Court takes domestic and juvenile matters.
Case numbers on Kauai files use 5CC for Circuit Court cases and 5DC for District Court. All criminal dispositions go to HCJDC for the state repository. Public access terminals sit in the courthouse lobby. Basic case info is free to view online through eCourt Kokua.
Document copies run $3 per file or 10 cents per page, whichever is more. Certification adds $2 per document. Some sensitive documents restricted by Hawaii Court Records Rules are not available online, even though physical copies may be at the courthouse.
Kauai County Recent Arrests Laws
Kauai County arrest records are considered public under the Hawaii Uniform Information Practices Act and Hawaii Revised Statutes §92F-12. Custodians of arrest records must make them available during business hours. An arrest record may be withheld if an individual's right to privacy outweighs the public's right to access.
