Maui County Recent Arrests Maui Community Correctional Center

MCCC holds about 200 inmates. The population includes pretrial detainees, sentenced misdemeanants, and work furlough participants. The DPS page for MCCC is the official source for facility rules.

Booking at MCCC starts after arrest by Maui Police, Molokai Police, or Lanai Police. The arrestee is transported to Wailuku for intake. Booking covers photos, fingerprints, and a medical screen. The Molokai District Court sits at 55 Makaena Place, Kaunakakai, HI 96748, phone (808) 553-1100. Processing runs about 120 days. First-time fees run $35, which includes a $10 non-refundable processing charge. Subsequent ones cost $50. Once the order is granted, the arrest record is sealed and archived in a confidential file. The person may legally state they have no record of that arrest.
